I'm Mike (mostly I get called Dr. C.), and I have had the honor of teaching physics here at YSU, for the last 21 years. My wife Mary K Cohan (social worker/educator) and I live nearby and have delighted in raising our three kids in this area, though they are all over the USA now. I live for eliciting in my younger colleagues (students) and experiencing for myself those "ah ha!" moments of understanding, whether it be in some topic in theoretical physics or a matter of the faith. To witness to and be at least in some small way a part of their struggle, their growth and their triumph as adult disciples is the greatest personal joy I have outside of my family and research work, all three of which have become life-as-prayer for me. If I had a spirit animal, it would be Rafiki the mandrill from the lion king!
