I serve on the Board because it provides opportunities for YSU students, faculty and staff to be active in their faith and grow and deepen their relationship with God, and be of service to others. On a personal note it had a profound influence on my life because I met my husband Ray through Newman. I have always been active in my parish as a volunteer and decided to get a Master's in Theology in order to serve as either a Parish Director of Education or Pastoral Associate in other parishes. In 1995 I was hired by the Diocese to establish a Lay Ministry Formation Program and led that for a decade. Later I returned to John Carroll and got certification from the Ignatian Spirituality Institute and now offer Spiritual Direction through the Ursuline Center. Ray & I are blessed to have a three married children and they have given us 5 wonderful, fun, delightful, grandchildren. We are Associates of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown and are deeply involved in their ministries as volunteers.
